Lab Report #2

I was just wondering what everyone was going to put as your null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis in your lab reports…??

What is the Alternative hypothesis? We expected to see genes.

Null hypothesis: We didn't expect to see any genes.

In our lab class we asked her and we came up with a null hypothesis: Our samples from healthy people are not going to have the pvl or mecA gene.

We didn't end up testing for the mecA gene; we ran out of enzyme.

I would remove the part about 'healthy people' because that doesn't make sense…just state that none of your samples will have the PVL gene.
